I was a member of the Diamond Peak Steering Committee.  I was one of the “dissenters” who asked that the property owners be surveyed before spending any more money on this endeavor.  Staff ignored our requests and insisted we were a minority.  As a candidate for IVGID trustee I have confirmed my original belief that the majority of property owners do not want many of the plan’s major “improvements”.

It’s still not too late to bring this project to a vote of the property owners who will be liable for repayment of the bond needed to fund this project.

No current trustee has asked for this to be put on an agenda (any trustee can request an items to  be put on the agenda for a Board meeting and that request will be honored). Keep that in mind when you vote.

In this day and age, there is no reason why we can’t accurately survey property owners and residents regarding any major decisions.  I believe elected officials have a responsibility to make their decisions only after they have given detailed information to the owners and residents and sought their opinions.
