pazi2Judy has been living in Incline Village since 2007.  She is an avid skier, and loves all the other outdoor activities our mountain community affords: hiking, kayaking, golfing, snowshoeing and just plain enjoying the beauty that surrounds us.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and worked in both the public sector as well as private industry as a software engineer, systems analyst, and IT manager.  She managed the IT staff for San Jose International Airport.  She worked on budgets and financial reporting for a large public enterprise, so government accounting is not new to her.

As the IT manager for the Planning, Building and Code Enforcement department of the “Capital of Silicon Valley”, she also gained considerable knowledge of the concerns of developers and planners.

She has also been in the hospitality industry, having owned and operated a motel on Tahoe’s West Shore for over two decades.

After her retirement she and her husband, Aaron Katz, moved to Tahoe, ultimately settling in Incline Village.

She has been involved in numerous community activities and serves on several local boards, including AAUW and Washoe County’s Incline Village/Crystal Bay Citizens Advisory Board.

Judy has two younger generations of her family who have also made the Tahoe Basin their home so she’s really concerned on the long term affects of IVGID’s decisions on our community.
