The Community Services Master Plan will consider uses for our various parks.  As usual, IVGID has not been including the public in the conversations of “focus groups”, even though the contract was awarded to a consultant over 2 months ago.

The topic was briefly mentioned at the last Board meeting (September 28) and although staff insists there is no change proposed at this time, we do not know what is being discussed.

Many members of the public spoke about their support for having a dedicated dog park, but also their desire to maintain the Village Green as a permanent location for use by our furry kids.

In fact, one speaker expressed the opinion that the Village Green may not be the best location for soccer since the one of the fields is not long enough.  Maybe we need to relocate the soccer activities, not the dogs.
